Some services such as electroplating, polishing, media blasting and engineering work may be delayed. We are also experiencing longer delivery times on parts from sources overseas and within the UK. At least one parts supplier has announced they will be holding all orders until the lock down has been lifted.
we are anticipating a rush of work once the restrictions are lifted, so please keep this in mind.

Harper's Ultrasonic is now the UK distributor for Litetek Viton FCR Mid-Body body seals for 39 and 41mm, down and side draft variants. The mid body seals inside the original type of FCR carbs are not available from the manufacturer, a fitting service is available from Harper's Ultrasonic and recommended in most cases due to the nature of the work. See the picture below for a comparison of the new product and failed original seals to see why you may need this service.
FCR Seals with Ethanol Damage and Viton Replacements
The carb which contained these seals was fitted to a 2006 KTM, research has shown that many current models and genuine spare parts are still not compatible with increasing amounts of Ethanol in fuel.
Black Carbs?........No Problem!
We are now offering a weapons grade finish to replace the deteriorated finish on black-painted carbs or change the look of your bare bodies. The finish we supply is ultra thin and very durable, it is applied by spraying without a need for thinners and then baked on for a superb finish. The set of Bandit 1200 carbs below were the first set we have tackled and belong to a close friend, the bike will be featured in our blog when finished.

Keihin FCR 39 and 41mm Flat Slides really are the pinnacle of motorcycle performance carburettor development, so they need to be kept surgically clean to do their thing, this is just as critical to starting and good performance for any type of carburettor from a lawn mower to a classic GP racer.
As well as cleaning and rebuilding, we are happy to re space Keihin Special CR or FCR pumper carburettors to allow fitment to different machines and rebuild either type using genuine Keihin parts. We are also happy to address your needs for any other type of carburettor from Mikuni to Bendix, veteran to modern. We can even help with badly neglected carburettors, let us take a look before you decide to replace them.
